We are a wife (Linh) and husband (Tyler) team that saw a gap in the local business market. We wanted to make supporting local businesses easier by bringing them together online and we wanted to support business owners by giving them the resources and guidance they need to serve their customers in the digital world.

As a marketing business professional with over thirteen years of experience in diverse industries from real estate to education, I found myself wanting to support a shop close to home by looking for some fask masks and birthday ideas for my daughter by local vendors. I found myself doing hours of research scouring the web, looking at social media profiles, reviews, online groups, asking friends and I thought… there NEEDS to be a better way to do this. A fairer way to do this for both finders and want to be found-ers. Find local things was born.

Our business practice is also so important, as our main goal is and always will be small business accessibility. Listings are not sponsored based on the person that pays the most because every company should get an equal opportunity to be found. As a consultant for small and medium businesses I’ve interacted with many local companies and shops that were inexperienced in marketing or business operations and were often getting taken advantage of by agencies without any sustainable or long term benefits.
